YOU are a throne champion!
Thank you for sharing the relief you feel each time you close a bathroom door behind yourself and sit down to do your business in private. Over 2,300 people in our Grand Junction community - including gig workers, delivery drivers, repair workers, families out and about, and unsheltered folks - don't have that luxury. This lack of toilets can force people to squat in an alley or field, which is unsafe for them and the community at large.
Sharing your relief today means helping someone else close a door as they do their business!
Will you share your bathroom relief with your community today?
Make the most out of your donation!
Your donation to Toilet Equity is eligible for the Colorado Homeless Contribution Tax Credit, which could save you 25% on your gift! With this credit, you can claim 25% of your donation and deduct it from what you owe in CO state taxes. That means that if you donate $100, you can owe $25 less on your taxes, effectively meaning that your donation only cost you $75. If you donate $1,000, you can earn a $250 credit on your CO state taxes! The more you donate, the bigger your tax break. So how do you get this tax break? Just by donating, you're already eligible. Other than that, you have to be a Colorado taxpayer and give at least $100 within a calendar year. We'll email you in January with the tax credit portal instructions, where you can register your contribution by January 31st of the year following your donation. We'll email you your certificate by February 15th with plenty of time to include it when you file your taxes!
Special thanks to our recurring donors,
whose monthly donations allow us to commit to getting more toilets out into the field to help provide equitable toilet access in our community.
Your donation will give people a private place to poop. We take everyone's privacy seriously: we build walls to poop behind, and we don't share your private data.
